Hello!

This is the beginning.

Actually it's not really the beginning beginning. That happened back in 1981, when we became friends in high school.

This is the new beginning, when we reconnected exactly 30 years after high school, living in cities more than 2,000 miles away from each other. (D lives in the Midwest and I am on the west coast.) 

Almost instantly we knew we needed to be together.

As we get reacquainted with each other and being each other up to speed on our interests and experiences, we have been making lots of notes. Our to-do list on Trello is growing almost out of control. Some items are fine as a list; others need space for more fleshing out.

In the summer of 2015, D will be moving to the west coast. Meanwhile, he visits four times before the big move, and we have big plans to explore (and check items off our list) every chance we get.

As we check off things on our to-do list, I realized it would be fun to have an easy way to share pictures and stories with family and friends. Yes, we are on Facebook, Pinterest, G+, etc, but it would be nice to have one place (this blog) as a hub for everything: planning together, adding things to our calendar, sharing stuff after we do it, everything.

This is the beginning.
